About the masterclass
Photography usually captures a single frozen moment.
In this masterclass we explore the opposite.
Using long exposure and moving light we allow time to accumulate inside the image. Movement, repetition and duration become part of the photograph. Light no longer simply illuminates the subject, it becomes a tool to shape the image.
The result can feel expressive, almost painterly, where the image emerges slowly rather than being captured in an instant.
The setting
The masterclass takes place in the professional studio of Colorwood Photo in Waddinxveen.
The studio also houses a fine art gallery featuring work by photographers such as Bastiaan Woudt and Erwin Olaf, making it not just a technical space but an environment of visual inspiration.

Requirements
Participants should bring:
• their own camera
• a tripod
• basic knowledge of manual exposure settings
A professional model will be present during the demonstration and shooting sessions.
Coffee, tea and lunch are included.
The Model: Christall
For this masterclass I will be working with Cristall, a model I have collaborated with many times. She brings an exceptional level of presence and control in front of the camera.
Cristall is able to move effortlessly between emotion, expression and form, which makes her particularly suited for working with long exposure and movement. Her unique look and sensitivity to the camera allow participants to create strong and expressive images during the session.
