This one of a kind artwork features a deep red carnation, suspended in darkness. The flower appears almost aflame, its ruffled petals caught between bloom and combustion. What reads as softness at first glance reveals tension, heat and restraint on closer inspection.
The photographic print measures 30 × 40 cm, printed on Hahnemuhle Satin paper, giving the image a subtle sheen and a rich, tactile depth. The print is presented in a hand-selected vintage frame, chosen for its patina and visible traces of age. These imperfections are part of the work and underline its physical presence as an object.
